Our Experience

Navigating New Frontiers: WavEC's Expanding Horizons.

WavEC explores innovative applications in the Blue Economy, venturing into diverse sectors such as floating solar PV, green hydrogen, offshore aquaculture, ecosystem restoration, carbon capture, water desalination, and exploring multiuse applications.

Intends to explore the potential for restoration actions in several coastal areas on the Arctic-Atlantic scale with special attention to vulnerable habitats, including kelp forests, rocky bottoms of shallow waters, reefs of oysters and soft-bed benthic habitats - all connected by the coastal context in which they exist, their sensitivity to disturbance, and their role as key drivers of biodiversity in the ocean.

Seaforests for blue carbon - natural capital from nature-based solutions.

Demonstration of an innovative mooring solution for floating solar systems.

Bolstering the joint operation of Hydrogen and Offshore wind.

PLOCAN Tested Optimised Floating Ocean Thermal Energy Conversion Platform

Testing a multi-use solution that integrates floating wind technology with an innovative aquaculture solution on the same installation site. The project will support the legislation and regulatory processes necessary for the implementation of multi-use projects.

What We Do

At WavEC, our approach involves driving innovation through strategic collaborations and tailored technical support for companies, R&D institutions, and governments. We facilitate the development of cutting-edge solutions, from floating solar PV farms and offshore aquaculture projects to pioneering advancements in offshore wind hydrogen production.

Additionally, our commitment to digitalisation is showcased through the introduction of Digital Twins for floating offshore wind, cementing the Blue Economy's leadership in technological advancement.
